Take me out to the ballgame!
The retreat started with on Thursday evening as we gathered in the newly renovated/restored Evans Choral Room (ECR) at the Roxbury Latin School for our first rehearsal. It was followed by our usual “afterglow” party allowing us to catch up with old and new friends.
Friday morning we were back in the ECR for another rehearsal. Followed by a cookout for lunch. After lunch, we were back in the ECR for a rehearsal and annual business meeting.
Then at 4:30 we loaded the school busses for Fenway Park…
and sang the National Anthem prior to an iconic Yankees vs. Red Sox game.
The Saturday schedule was the usual rehearsal, lunch, and final rehearsal before heading to St. Theresa’s for a dress rehearsal, providing music for the Saturday afternoon Mass, and then our 5:30 concert.

Saturday and the weekend concluded with a reception and banquet back at Roxbury Latin’s Refectory. The celebration included the usual informal singing of old favorites as well as a performance from our younger members.
