2024 Minneapolis
The 2024 retreat in Minneapolis was another excellent weekend of productive, musicality-advancing rehearsals and some time for friendship renewal. The overall consensus was singers came well prepared and the sound was impressive, if not positively magnificent.
We were hosted by Mike Jarrard and the Breck School in their coral room. The weekend started with a Thursday night rehearsal from 7 to 9:30 PM followed by the usual afterglow at the Yard House, a local brew pub.
Friday was a full day of rehearsals starting at 9 AM with a break for lunch in the Breck Middle School’s cafeteria. In the afternoon we continued rehearsing.
Friday night we had a wonderful group dinner at the Crave West End.
Saturday we were back at rehearsing at 9 AM. For lunch on Saturday we were on our own. After lunch, the annual business meeting was held which included a discussion on planning for the 2025 Tour. We then had our final rehearsal for the weekend.
After this rehearsal, many goodbyes were said as we were on our own for dinner and some singers headed for home. Overall, it was another great weekend of friends and singing.
