2025 Austria

Wie schön bist du Österreich

Ask any veteran Mastersinger…

about their best-loved touring moments over the years, and they’ll invariably mention the small Austrian towns and churches hold a special place in their hearts. Often the whole town turns out for the concert, and pieces we love to sing - Schubert’s Die Nacht or even the Austrian national anthem (after all, how many countries can say Mozart wrote theirs?) bring a familiar, heartfelt warmth.

So in 2026, we decided to revisit an old friend, partake of the beer, the schnitzel, the lovely Austrian people, and sing in some of our favorite spaces.

Like Mozart, we started in Salzburg

June 26-29, Salzburg
The first group rehearsal was in Salzburg at 8 PM at Papageno Saal. Followed on the 27th with three more rehearsals, a city tour, lunch on our own, and a group dinner at the hotel. On the 28th, another rehearsal and a 4 PM concert at Salzburger Dom and a group dinner at Sternbräu.
