Boston 2026
It was a fantastic retreat weekend of “Brothers in Song.” An excerpt from Kerry‘s post-weekend email entitled “Bravo” perhaps summarizes it best:
“As is often true, some of our best musical moments occurred in the Choral Room at RL. I treasure these and imagine them as our special gifts to each other knowing that none of us is capable alone of creating such beauty and that it's the team - united - that makes it possible. We should never take for granted the magic of our distinctive approach and the colossal achievement of beginning with an ensemble newly assembled on Thursday evening and one that is capable of a legitimate, inspiring performance on Saturday evening. None of it would be possible absent your intense dedication, willingness to adjust and be coached, and your joy in contributing to our process and product.”

We were hosted again at The Roxbury Latin School for this retreat. We gathered on Thursday, June 18, in The Evans Choral Room. Our first rehearsal ran from 7:00-9:30 PM, followed by our traditional afterglow. Although many members commented that it was a much tamer gathering than in past years. Nonetheless, it provided a welcome opportunity to start catching up with many past friends and get to know new members.
We were back at the Evans Coral Room on Friday morning for our second rehearsal from 9:00-11:30. We then had a break for lunch from 11:30-12:30.
The afternoon comprised of a 12:30-2:30 rehearsal, followed by our annual Business Meeting, and concluded with a 3:00-5:00 rehearsal.
For Friday night dinner, members were on their own, and many took advantage of the restaurants at Legacy Place around the corner from the hotel, including local favorites Legal Seafood and Yard House.
Saturday morning we were back in the Coral Room for our final rehearsal. Then after lunch we were on our own to get to St. Cecilia Church, in Boston. We participated in the 5 PM Vigil Mass, and our concert followed at 6 PM.

Following the concert, we headed to Cosmica for our traditional banquet which always seem sto end with some informal singing!
